Job summary The Breast Care Centre at Singleton Hospital is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Health care support worker to join the team. The HCSW role with the in the Breast Care centre is a crucial part of the patient journey, as you shall chaperone and support patients when attending for Mammograms, wound and follow up clinics all whilst working closely with the entire Multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding levels of care. Main duties of the job The Healthcare Assistant will work at all times under the delegation of a registered practitioner or assistant practitioner in the delivery of person-centred care.o Will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personal observations and documenting personal care given in individual's notes.o Assist the registered practitioner/assistant practitioner in the assessment, on-going assessment, planning, management and evaluation of care.o Promotion of independence and wellbeingo Assist patients/ clients to achieve physical and emotional wellbeing and comfort encouraging independence where appropriate. Promotes health promotion activities relevant to the specialty.
