Band 4 Senior Project Support Officer – Workforce Compliance
Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking two Band 4 project support officers to work with the Workforce Directorate on a fixed term basis (for external applicants) or secondment basis (for internal applicants) to deliver a high-volume compliance project up until 31st March 2026.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
Main duties of the job
The successful post holders will be required to:
Review and analyse workforce data relating to pre-employment checks
Contact staff and other departments to request relevant paperwork
Validate paperwork following best practice guidance
Be comfortable with high volume and repetitive tasks
Report on project progress, escalating issues and risks to the oversight group as and when required

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
* Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects.
* Experience of working within a demanding/high intensity administrative setting
* Experience of successful team working
* Experience of project management.
* Experience of working within the NHS or other public sector body.

* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
Essential Aptitude and abilities
* Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Able to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and deal effectively with conflicting priorities.
* Ability to work autonomously and equally effective as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficient in use of standard IT packages e.g. Microsoft Office with the ability to master new applications.
* Advanced IT skills in a range of desktop applications e.g., Excel, Power BI
