We’re looking for an interim Programme Manager to deliver an initiative within the ‘Future BBC’ transformation agenda. The initiative is focused on enabling a BBC that is fit for the future looking at increasing the pace of our delivery, how we can leverage market innovation and better exploit our own innovation, creating the environment for our capability to develop and scale to meet audience demands and increase the efficiency of our processes.
The postholder will fulfil a critical role within the initiative, delivering a positive impact through excellent programme and stakeholder management skills.

Main Responsibilities
The Transformation Office supports and drives transformation activities to make change happen across the BBC, provides data driven visibility of transformation progress and builds the transformation capability and the change muscle of the organisation.
The Transformation Office is at the heart of delivering major BBC transformation through the Sustainability Programme, the DI&B Programme, Across the UK, the Enterprise Savings Portfolio and BBC Futures.
Working as part of the Transformation Office you will gain greater insight into the strategic transformation journey of the BBC, deliver and ensure accountability for change across the BBC and help to build a strong culture aligned to our values.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Programme Manager to be responsible for the successful delivery of a strategic transformation initiative, from scope and shape through to benefit realisation who will have experience of delivering large scale operating model based programmes. You will be required to work across multiple divisions and will be accountable for the overall programme management of the initiative including managing budgets, timing, and milestones, in adherence with the BBC project management best practice.
Are you the right candidate?
4. Have a recognised programme management qualification, with demonstrable career development.
5. Proven substantial experience and demonstrated specialism of project and programme management.
6. Have managed a minimum of two programmes, managed a portfolio of projects and contributed to more.
7. Have successfully managed and/or overseen large and complicated projects.
8. Have a good understanding of, and approach to, benefits delivery, from strategy to realisation.
9. Have in-depth knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin programme and portfolio management and can apply good practice with a focus on practical results.
10. Sound financial knowledge including cost versus benefit analysis and forecasting, and have the ability to see the wider implications of project financial variance.
11. Be able to deal with high levels of complexity, ambiguity and changes of business focus.
12. Exercise high levels of persuasion and negotiation in situations where strong opposition or a number of divergent views exist.
13. Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop, maintain and enhance long-term relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
