This role is part of a team encompassing data collation and analysis, Research and Development and investigation of existing and novel technologies and tasks in these other areas will be expected as well as covering for absences.
Purpose of the role:
* To collect and deliver data collation, presentation and where appropriate statistical analysis and interpretation across the agriculture department of Avara Foods Ltd.
* To coordinate and build data models to better explain the complex interaction and expected outcomes of the many variables in agriculture production.
* To build predictive models to drive efficiency in delivery of agriculture outcomes.
* To help unlock more potential from the data produced in Ag.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 08.00– 16.30 (with flexibility).
What will your key responsibilities as a Data Analyst include?
* Collate and report data to appropriate timelines for both internal and external purposes.
* Carry out statistical analysis of large data sets where appropriate for example weekly KPIs, trial analyses.
* Understand the data that we currently gather, how it is used, the value still to be obtained and the gaps/deficiencies that exist.
* Work with the ag team to understand what they need to turn data into useful information.
* Assess and improve data accuracy. Maintain and develop existing dashboards e.g. Feed QC.
* Streamline the collation and presentation of data.
* Automate the output of data reports.
* Regularly assess who uses the data collated, and who should receive it.
* Model the agriculture data to describe and predict multiple input variables.
* Create prediction models to drive efficient planning processes and on-farm action plans.
* Be an MTech super user, Internal software, and champion its use throughout the ag department.
What you’ll need to be successful:
* Knowledge and Experience (Essential or Desirable):
o Experienced and proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and other data analysis packages.
o Familiar with a range of statistical analysis techniques.
o Experienced and proficient in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other software for reporting/displaying results from analysis.
o Able to learn/use programming languages such as Python and/or R.
o Qualification in statistics/data analysis (desirable).
o Experience with SQL databases (desirable).
