This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-oriented Key Account Manager to develop revenue growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building on existing relationships with clients, and implementing sales strategies that are aligned with the company's goals. You’ll be joining at a pivotal point in our journey where we are resetting our strategy to drive further growth and develop business across all aspects within the Electrical space.
As our new Electrical Key Account Manager, you’ll work to increase our customer base, boost sales, and enhance profitability across a geographical area of the UK.
You will help grow our revenue by finding and taking advantage of new opportunities, building on our current key accounts, and using sales strategies that match our company's goals. You’ll also work to improve customer satisfaction and ensure we provide top-quality service. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the larger City group to achieve our goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Sales and Profitability: Lead the sales efforts and increase profitability in the Electrical sector within your region. Develop existing and new accounts and take ownership of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), tracking both sector and personal margins.
* Leverage Market Intelligence: Use market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends to find growth opportunities for new locations and products. Aim to position CPS as a leader in the Electrical industry. Influence branch operations to support the growth of the Electrical category and provide guidance to the sales team, making key decisions as needed.
* Build Strong Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to grow the Electrical sector within the group. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on Electrical opportunities within the existing customer base. Create strategies for both new and existing customers.
* Enhance Branch Engagement: Work with colleagues at all levels in targeted branches to improve awareness and engagement with the Electrical category. Ensure branches understand the importance of meeting customer expectations and the benefits to the overall P&H business. Participate in regional meetings to represent the Electrical sector and support branch teams in identifying sales and margin opportunities.
* Monitor Market Trends: Keep track of trends and innovations in the Electrical market. Provide feedback to the sector lead and commercial teams to help shape the development of the Electrical product range.
* Attend Solar Management Meetings: Participate in monthly Solar management meetings to report on progress and support the growth of the Electrical market. Lead key initiatives to advance the Electrical proposition.
* Manage Personal Development: Proactively manage your personal development by continuously assessing your performance and seeking ways to improve. Solicit advice and feedback regularly.
* Oversee Customer Orders: Manage the customer experience from inquiry to delivery, ensuring support from the wider business.
This is a regional-based opportunity where you'll be expected to travel and meet with customers and suppliers.
You should be based in the UK and we’re looking to recruit Key Account Managers from across the UK (London, Midlands, North, Scotland, South East, West).

Minimum Requirements:
* Previous sales experience gained from within Merchant/Electrical/Wholesale.
* Customer-focused and sales-driven.
* Excellent industry-wide knowledge of Electrical.
* Familiar with I.T packages, i.e. Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
* Exposure to resolving queries end to end process, and focusing on solutions and transparency of communication.
* Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
* Good organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize the work of self and others.
