We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Handyman / Building Maintenance at one of our well-established client in Blackburn Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. This is a genuine temporary to permanent opportunity Shift times: 8am-4pm Monday to Friday however flexibility in working hours is essential Pay Rate: £15.49 per hour Role will involve but wont be limited to: General building and grounds maintenance across client sites from odd jobs to larger projects Working closely with the Engineering Department and liaising with other departments such as the Warehouse and Head Office Undertake Maintenance tasks as directed and prioritise urgent tasks Maintaining Building fabric Ensure standards and procedures are adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety Maintain workshop and tools to Good Manufacturing Practices requirements Assist engineering maintenance team members as required Assist in the improvement of Health & Safety standards across all sites Record all works on the CMMS system Work collaboratively and engage with other members of the team Support the delivery of continuous improvement action plans Support with developing the maintenance schedule alongside the Engineering Manager Maintain a safe and clean environment for all Heavy lifting as required Indoor and outdoor work Occasional travel and use of company vehicles Skills required for the role: Demonstrate the ability to work with a varying selection of tools Ability to work independently and with a team when required Painting, joinery, plumbing and other building maintenance skills A good communicator at all levels Ability to balance multiple priorities A problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy A dynamic self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude Must be fluent in English, verbal and written Building qualification would be desirable If you are interested in this role please click APPLY or send your CV ADZN1_UKTJ
