Job Description Job Purpose The role of Corporate Development Director is important to us. You will be responsible to lead the buy-back of Inflexion’s minority stake, including the design and execution of a complex refinancing. Following this transaction, the role will support the Executive Chairman and CEO in shaping and documenting long-term group strategy. While M&A activity has currently slowed, there will be occasional acquisition opportunities to manage. The position offers a clear path to senior leadership, with prior role-holders progressing into Finance Director or Managing Director positions. Your Responsibilities Day To Day Will Be… Refinancing & Share Buy-Back Work with the Chief Business Officer to assist the Executive Chairman with the structuring and execution of the buy-back of Inflexion’s shareholding. With the Group Treasurer design and execute on a refinancing strategy to support the transaction, assessing funding options and capital structure. Manage due diligence, financial modelling, and stakeholder communications throughout the process. Liaise with banks, investors, advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Ad Hoc M&A Execution Monitor the market for selective acquisition opportunities aligned with group strategy. Evaluate potential deals, prepare financial models, and manage transaction processes. Oversee legal, financial, and operational diligence, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors. Present clear recommendations to the Board, with focus on strategic fit and risk mitigation. Manage post-closing earn out processes Post-Merger Integration & Performance Support integration planning and execution for any acquisitions. Track performance of acquired businesses against expectations. Identify issues early and advise on corrective actions as needed. Feed learnings into a continuous improvement process for future M&A activity. Qualifications Strong academic record, including degree at 2:1 or above Finance or MBA qualification with 10 years post qualification experience 5 years of experience M&A work (ideally international), either within a high growth corporate, advisory firm or investment company. Strong communication and inter-personal skills especially effective influencing Although the role currently has no direct reports, leadership skills will be important Openness to change and ability to operate in new environments (new geographies, industries etc) Ability to multi-task and cope with sudden peaks in workload Flexibility to travel internationally at short notice Additional Information The role offers direct exposure to the executive team and Board. Success in the position is a proven stepping stone to senior leadership, with previous holders progressing into Finance Director and Managing Director roles within business units.
