Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Assistant Librarian on a 4-day per week contract. Based at the BSO offices in Poole’s Lighthouse, this role involves supporting the Librarian in managing the BSO Music Library. Key responsibilities include sourcing, preparing, and distributing orchestral materials, particularly for educational and community programmes such as On Your Doorstep and BSO Voices.
Applicants should have a qualification or relevant experience in music, proficiency in reading conventional music notation, and strong attention to detail. Digital literacy and effective communication skills are essential. Experience with music notation software is desirable.
The role offers a salary of £19,600 pro-rata (£24,500 FTE), with additional benefits including a personal pension scheme and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
