Job Overview
We are delighted to be representing our client in their search for a Legal Secretary to join their family law department. Our client is a reputable and well-established law firm located in the heart of Barnsley town centre.
Due to the current workload of the family department, our client is keen to speak to experienced Legal Secretaries, ideally with experience already within family law. We are looking for a self-starter who is looking for a long-term role within a successful and highly-regarded firm.
Typical Duties
1. Providing secretarial support to a senior family law solicitor and Partner
2. Typing using digital dictation
3. Preparation of legal documents including forms
4. Assisting with diary management, arranging appointments, and booking meeting rooms
5. Ensuring the CRM system is kept up to date at all times with accurate client information and documentation
6. Supporting the wider team with administrative duties
Skills and Experience
1. Secretarial experience working within a law firm, ideally within a family law department
2. Confident using Digital Dictation
3. Confident with legal terminology
4. Strong IT skills and confidence using CRM systems and the full suite of MS Office
5. Highly professional and used to working to the highest standards
6. Excellent communication skills with confidence speaking to a range of people including colleagues and clients
7. Confident typing skills
