Job summary – What to expect: We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Distribution team as a Senior Distribution Operator. This is a direct role that supports the Distribution Operations based at Delta Park. Distribution Operations support the order processing of circa six thousand orders per day covering approximately 180,000 units. The Distribution department interacts with many departments operationally and within the commercial Organisation, as well as directly with Customers and vendors / suppliers to ensure a good supply / customer service to the success of the EMEA business. About you: We are looking for someone with an aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to nurture a forward-thinking and flexible work ethic. Experience & Education: Carry out tasks and operate any required machines and processes as requested by your team leader to meet production targets, customer, efficiency and quality requirements in line with Standard Operating Procedures Provide support to the Team Leader through feedback on work levels and Distribution issues on a regular basis. Comply with health and safety regulations within the team and the environment ensuring safe practice regarding use of equipment (i.e. machinery, lift truck, manual handling equipment etc) and general good housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Use of systems appropriate to your department i.e. Baan, Red Prairie etc. Receive any new training and train other operators as required. Training must be in accordance with the necessary SOP’s and associated documentation. Be prepared to work in other areas of operations for specified periods of time as required. To promote the quality of customer orders picked and packed through the Distribution department adhering to, and complying with SOP’s. Within the outlined Quality Assurance and Work Procedures (SOP’s, user guides etc.) the post holder has the responsibility to maintain their work to the required standard. IN THE ABSENCE OF A TEAM LEADER YOU MAY BE ASKED TO CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING DUTIES Ensuring the departmental Service levels are maintained and where possible exceeded in compliance with organisational requirements Investigate and respond to problems in relation to Distribution communicating any issues to your Section Leader to ensure minimum disruption and maximum service levels. Understanding of all relevant Health & Safety and GMP procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment. Ensure compliance with company and departmental procedures. Participate in internal and external audits as required to ensure compliance to relevant ISO/FDA requirements. Play a key part in developing a fully integrated Team Culture through one-to-one, team and shift interactions, producing an environment of Trust and Fairness through respect for others. Provide input and deliver team briefs to shift, cascading company and departmental information. Through the effective use of the companies ERP, WCS and WMS Systems, lead, motivate and control your team of operators to ensure customer requirements, distribution performance targets, and quality standards are met and when possible exceeded. Can decide the allocation of staff to various tasks. The post holder in the absence of the Team Leader has responsibility for the allocation of work to correct machines / lines etc. Within the outlined quality standards the post holder has responsibility in the absence of the Team leader for the quality of work released.
