Place of Work/Group Company: Riventa, part of Nijhuis Saur Industries UK and Ireland, Stoke Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Production Technician to join our team. As a Manufacturing Production Technician, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems will contribute to the success of our production operations. You should have electronic/electrical/manufacturing experience. Experience with Edge devices, electronic components or communications protocols are preferred. The role will sometimes require travel throughout the UK to assist the site team where needed. As you progress through the training there may be a requirement for international travel working on specialist projects all over the world. This role would suit someone that currently works in the manufacturing industry and knows the basics of electronics and production techniques, they should have the aptitude to learn and develop in a fast paced, ‘hands on’ environment. Therefore, being able to be flexible, and adaptable to the business needs will be important in an ever-changing technical environment. The role has many elements, but the key focus will be building, calibrating & testing our own specialist monitoring and testing equipment for various hydraulic systems including pump, fans, hydraulic networks and aeration networks. Our core technology employs precision temperature, pressure and power measurement to determine the hydraulic performance of turbo-machines. Real-time data from each asset is used to inform the client about asset efficiency and recommend operational changes in order to achieve maximum process efficiency. We develop electronic hardware including precision sensor technology as well as a range of software platforms. Our software tools are deployed on both Cloud or on-premise platforms. Integration with SCADA or other intelligent systems is also a key feature of our solutions – along with remote technical support. We utilise cutting-edge wireless communication technology and battery powered IIoT solutions. We integrate with a cloud platform using 4G data services and also integrate with client industrial SCADA systems - in partnership with system integrators. Duties & Responsibilities: Building specialist equipment at our Stoke facility Calibrating equipment and producing certificates Carrying out maintenance on our in use equipment Network with the wider technical teams to satisfy cross disciplinary projects Be respectful, polite, and professional with customers, colleagues, and the community Ability to work autonomously, and at times work unsupervised whilst always following all health and safety protocols set by both Riventa and our clients Customer interfacing Put forward innovative & potential ways of improving the equipment Focusing on achieving high standards of work across multiple bespoke projects, in a dynamic, energised, and professional environment Required Skills/Qualifications: At least 3 years’ experience of electronic, process or similar engineering discipline preferably in a similar work environment (Or equivalent learning experience) Time-served apprenticeship in electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering (or equivalent) Level 3 BTEC in electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering Understanding Engineering disciplines and technologies relating to the Water / Pumping Industry (preferred but not essential) Proven experience in a role in which you contributed to the overall success with tangible output demonstrable IT skills in MS365, particularly Excel are preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided Hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation experience would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given Ability to learn new products and disciplines Driving Licence Working for us means: Probationary Period – 6 months.
