Land Manager
Salary: c£65,000 plus benefits
Location: Slough, Berkshire
A developer with an enviable reputation for volume sites and buying power urgently requires a Land Manager to acquire land within their patch of operation in North West London and surrounding areas.
The role is working within a small team that delivers large schemes from 80 – 900 units. Areas of operation and acquisition are Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Buckingham, and North West London. The team will consist of a Land Director/Head of Land, a Senior Planning Manager, and an Assistant Land Manager, making a total team of 4 to deliver 400 units per annum.
The role will be to identify and secure development sites across the division in order for land targets to be met, working closely with the planning team to ensure that maximum optimisation is achieved from all land purchases.
Utilising a network of agents, landowners, local authorities, and other developers, you will identify land acquisitions of 80 units and above within the stipulated geographical area.
You will appraise all opportunities using the correct appraisal procedures involved in investigating, reporting, and ultimately purchasing the land.
The acquisition will follow, and the successful candidate will need to handle all negotiations and formulate offers/bids that adhere to the Group’s acquisition requirements, have a thorough understanding of associated agreements, and be able to work on all joint ventures and partnerships.
It is important that the successful candidate can formulate offers, coordinate investigations, negotiate with local authorities, agents, and lawyers in order to produce the contracts for signature. There will be support to help with these processes, but it is important that the successful candidate has an understanding of how to do it.
This is an excellent role working for one of the best brands in the industry. The successful candidate can expect a good compensation package that will pay up to £65,000 for a Land Manager and importantly, the opportunity to progress and BUY LAND.
Also worth noting, the Land Director is known to bring people through and help them achieve promotion. He is one who will spend time improving any areas of weakness you may have and helping you to improve. This is an excellent opportunity for many reasons.
The benefits package is excellent, as is the holiday, pension, and there is a bonus.
