Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our well established team as a Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children. The post holder will provide leadership on Oxleas Think Family safeguarding strategy and workplan, promoting the safety and welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and contribute to development of relevant safeguarding policies, procedures and guidance. The post holder will fulfil the requirements of Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children, with responsibility for co-ordinating the Trust safeguarding children activity. The post holder will support Lead Safeguarding Children Specialist for adult mental health in developing robust consistent safeguarding practice in line with best practice and statutory requirements. The post holder will provide expert advice, supervision and support on safeguarding children matters, working together with key professionals and partner agencies. The post holder will actively contribute towards the quality and assurance agenda including training, audit, collection and analysis of relevant data. The post holder will contribute to Safeguarding Children Practice Reviews, Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews, Learning Reviews and Serious incident investigations. The post holder will work in close partnership with external stakeholders towards ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements. The post holder will lead and have line management responsibility for Specialist safeguarding nurses/ practitioners.
