Are you ready to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? The North Cumbria Childrens ADHD Service is looking for a Band 3 Clinical Support Assistant to join the team.
The role will involve working as part of a dynamic and forward thinking team team that provides high quality assessment and intervention to children and young people with ADHD. This post is dynamic and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the assessment and intervention pathways.
An aspect of the role is to work alongside nursing colleagues, work with schools and partner agencies, conduct clinics and strive to support children, young people and their families.
The team consists of a well-established mix of professionals that work collaboratively to deliver individualised care.
The role involves supporting the clinical members of the team to deliver evidence based treatment and to engage in collaborative working across the multi-agency team.
You will be provided with additional training and regular clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, alongside their ADHD, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, under the direction of a registered practitioner.
To implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence.
To support in the running of clinics within the assessment and intervention pathways.
To maintain electronic health records of any treatment interventions completed.
To work as a member of the team in providing excellent and effective person centred care.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust policy.

Education and qualification
Essential
1. Senior Healthcare Support Worker or equivalent or working towards
2. Willing to work towards being trained in adhd specific- qb
Desirable
3. Experience of working within a relevant clinical service
4. GCSE A-C in maths and English or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience

5. Experience of working/ volunteering in an appropriate care setting
6. Experience of working with service users who have complex needs

7. Knowledge or Experience of adhd
8. Previous experience in a community setting
9. Experience of involving service users/ carers in evaluation/planning and monitoring of services
