About the Role
In this opportunity as VP Sales, you will:
1. Have demonstrated success in building, leading and motivating global sales teams to deliver innovative customer initiatives.
2. Possess a proven track record in driving growth and innovation while thinking through profitability, market dynamics, and customer needs.
3. Have media experience, including digital advertising and events sponsorship sales.
4. Be a proven change-agent that works collaboratively with leadership and sales teams.
5. Lead sales teams accountable for nurturing and growing existing client relationships globally, focusing on digital advertising, custom content, and event sponsorships.
6. Build and deliver the Sales strategy as part of an integrated approach.
7. Collaborate with general managers of Events and Digital to deliver and support requirements.
8. Drive prioritization and program/resource management through sales force management.
9. Facilitate coaching of Sales leaders to embed core sales processes and adopt new technology.
10. Coordinate across sales and account management teams to ensure proper coverage across regions and account types.
11. Manage and own the sales pipeline of new business; maintain and develop existing customers through ethical sales methods.
12. Create, define, build, and execute the revenue growth strategy for the Reuters Professional business.
13. Manage the lead of marketing and custom content on sales and marketing strategies for revenue growth.
14. Build a strategic Reuters Professional sales organization that represents today’s modern media landscape.
15. Identify key skills and capabilities gaps in the organization and hire/train/develop to drive performance.
16. Focus on growing key metrics that comprise a successful revenue mix.
17. Identify new customer opportunities, ensuring best practices in closing long-term revenue partnerships.
18. Grow new revenue streams in untapped global markets.
19. Use a data-driven approach to understand customer sets, market trends, and performance management.
20. Deliver target financial and strategic objectives for the Reuters Professional segment.
21. Develop a workforce supported by an active talent and succession pipeline.
22. Provide accurate forecasting, customer evaluation, and procurement reports.
23. Present across internal meetings necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
24. Deliver financial and strategic Sales OKRs for Reuters Professional.
25. Continuously improve the end-to-end distinctive sales customer experience.
26. Create distinctive propositions that are compelling for Reuters Professional segment customers.
27. Build trusted partnerships with product and business leaders to influence the product roadmap.
28. Drive customer engagement and loyalty initiatives that grow and retain customers.
About You
You're a fit for the role of VP, Sales if your background includes:
1. Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving.
2. Proven track record in scaling high growth media businesses.
3. A history of high revenue growth in sales across various regions.
4. Consistently over-achieved sales quotas and targets.
5. Minimum of 5-7 years Global Sales Management experience.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Highly networked and seen as an expert in the field.
8. Commercially focused with an entrepreneurial mindset.
9. Ability to navigate and influence across the organization.
10. Proven track record of successful organizational change management experience.
