Senior Solicitor / Associate (2-7 PQE) – Contentious Construction Edinburgh/Glasgow – Hybrid working Permanent, Full Time Experience Level: 2-7 years PQE Are you an experienced solicitor with a passion for construction disputes and a desire to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solicitor/Associate to join our Litigation/Contentious Construction team, working on complex, high-value cases and advising a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors. As a Senior Solicitor or Associate in our Contentious Construction team, you will: Work closely with our partners to provide strategic advice on complex construction disputes. Represent clients in a range of formal dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, adjudication, litigation, and arbitration. Handle a wide variety of contentious claims and insurance disputes, providing clients with tailored advice that aligns with their commercial objectives. Engage with existing clients while helping the team to develop new business opportunities. Contribute to the team’s marketing initiatives, draft thought leadership content, and deliver presentations at industry seminars. Assist in mentoring and developing junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and expertise. What We’re Looking For: Experience in contentious construction with a strong understanding of the complexities of the construction industry. Excellent advocacy, analytical, and drafting skills, with the ability to present clear, commercially-focused advice to clients. A collaborative mindset and a track record of working effectively within a team. Strong client relationship skills, ensuring regular, proactive communication and understanding client priorities. A self-motivated, organised approach with the ability to manage tight deadlines and complex caseloads. Enthusiasm for developing new business and contributing to the team's growth.
