Prospero Teaching are supporting a well-regarded school in West Bromwich in their search for a qualified and experienced SENDCo to join their inclusive and dynamic team. This exciting role is split between 3 days dedicated to SENDCo responsibilities and 2 days of teaching intervention groups and PPA cover, offering a great balance of leadership and direct teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
· SENDCo Responsibilities (3 Days):
o Overseeing the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school.
o Leading the SEND strategy, ensuring that pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
o Coordinating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensuring timely interventions.
o Liaising with external agencies, parents, and staff to ensure a holistic approach to SEND provision.
o Supporting staff with strategies to differentiate teaching and learning for pupils with SEND.
o Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and school policies.
· Teaching Responsibilities (2 Days):
o Teaching small intervention groups, supporting pupils who require additional academic support.
o Providing PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover across the school.
o Delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons that engage and support pupils with various learning needs.
Essential Criteria:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENDCo qualification (or working towards).
· Proven experience as a SENDCo in a primary or secondary school setting.
· A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
· Experience in delivering effective interventions and support strategies for pupils with SEND.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
