* Supporting teachers to provide high quality teaching and learning for all children regardless of need
* Ensuring a graduated response to need is effectively used by teachers across the school and nursery including updating learning plans and reviewing provisions
* Coordinating support from outside agencies
* Securing funding for children with complex needs through the EHCP and Early Years top up process
* Arranging annual reviews for children with EHCPs within statutory deadlines
* Advising families in how to support and advocate for their child including referring and signposting to relevant services
Dependent on experience, the role may also include staff line management and other leadership responsibilities. We welcome applicants who would be new in the role of Inclusion Leader/SENDCo as well as those who are experienced. Sea Mills Primary School and Nursery is an inclusive, friendly place with a supportive staff team and wonderful children. We are very ambitious for the achievement of all our children and an inclusive approach is at the very centre of our ethos.
We are looking for a kind, compassionate teacher who will champion children with additional needs in our school and nursery and help them to achieve their full potential. Start date to be confirmed but is likely to be early March 2025. This is a part-time role (60%); 3 days a week (negotiable).
