Behaviour Support (Primary School)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Scale: £95- £105 per day
Start: September 2024
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
GSL education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join as Behaviour Support in primary schools in Sheffield. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the development of our young learners.
Job summary:
As a Behavior Support, you will support the teacher and other support staff in helping students to both manage their behavior and attain positive social skills. Your role will be crucial in creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions.
* Assist teachers in planning and delivering activities aimed at improving student behaviour.
* Support the social and emotional development of students.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and behaviour.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent support for all students.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, particularly in a behaviour support role is desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Effective communication and organizational skills.
* An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
