We are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to support the Surgical Care Group (CG).
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance (ADOF), you will directly line-manage the CG financial portfolio, working closely with the CG triumvirate to provide a comprehensive range of specialist and expert financial advice, training and support to enable the delivery of services efficiently and economically, as well as ensuring the achievement of all CG financial targets. The FBP will provide comprehensive management support to the ADOF, deputising as appropriate.
The post holder will use high level technical, analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of internal and external managers across the NHS and wider system, andwork autonomously as an expert practitioner, with minimal supervision, using own initiative to make operational decisions often without reference to others.

To succeed in this role at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust you will:
• Be a qualified accountant with senior finance experience in a medium to large organisation. Prior experience of working in an NHS operational finance team is desirable but not essential.
• Have experience of leading a small team and be familiar with activity and income budget setting and reporting, business case development and activity and capacity planning.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience in working with operational teams and other corporate functions to deliver a mature rounded service.
