The post holder will act as the primary point of enquiry for day to day matters relating to Service Improvement including, but not limited to, matters relating to uptake of screening and equitable access to bowel cancer screening by disadvantaged groups. The role will involve supporting the development of robust partnership working arrangements with Screening Centres, CCGs, GP Surgeries, Cancer research UK, Health Promotion Specialists and other stakeholders in order to support and enhance initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of overall service development. The Service Improvement lead alongside the Service Development Lead will act in a supporting capacity to the Hub Director and the Hub Manager regarding Service Improvement by implementing service/programme wide projects and the coordination of high quality training across the department. They will be required to work flexibly and adapt their approach and focus over time responsively in line with Service changes. The role will involve supervision of administrative support staff and their delivery of work against set objectives and targets in relation to the delivery of service improvement projects only. It will also involve providing managerial cross cover across the Department to cover absences.
