Defour Partnership is working closely with an award winning National Social Care Charity who are on an exciting journey of transformation and growth and looking to appoint an experienced, Head of Information and Regulatory Governance to join their Quality and Compliance Team.
This is a full time, permanent post and you can be based anywhere in the UK but must be available to travel to their head office in Widnes and nationally as and when required.
Role Details:
The successful candidate will lead the information governance, risk management and complaints function of the charity, owning all related policies, processes, and controls to deliver a high performing service. The Head of Information and Regulatory Governance plays a crucial role as part of the central Quality and Assurance Team, working with colleagues across the charity to deliver high quality safe care that enables and supports people to live their best lives possible.
Lead the development and implementation of Information Governance and regulatory compliance strategies, through effective prioritisation, optimising allocation of resources, managing benefits realisation, risks and constraints to ensure alignment of data governance practices across the organisation, to support the achievement of organisational strategy.
As the nominated Data Protection Offer (DPO) for the charity, this role liaises with the ICO and advises and guides the charity in the application of GDPR and other data protection legislation to ensure the charity remains compliant and meets all statutory and legislative requirements.

The ideal Candidate
Skills and Experience
1. Degree, degree level qualification in business administration, information technology or related field desirable
2. Qualifications in governance, information governance and related subjects such as ISO or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant certifications preferred.
3. Certified Data Protection Officer (C-DPO)
4. Proven experience in developing and implementing governance, risk management, and information management strategies within a complex organisation.
5. Expertise in formation governance and data protection
6. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to social care, governance, risk management, and information management.
