Opportunities exist for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our Water Quality Services team in both laboratory and field orientated roles. We have an extensive network of monitoring equipment delivering real-time data to a range of customers from private sector to government agencies. Working primarily in the laboratory or the field you will be responsible for ensuring that our network is serviced and maintained to a high standard. Qualifications / experience Successful candidates will have: some knowledge/experience of working in a field/laboratory environment. Field workers will be willing to work outdoors in all weathers; a qualification in an environmental science or similar area or have equivalent experience; some experience within the environmental sector however this is not vital; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a willingness to travel extensively throughout the South East and sometimes across the UK (field roles); the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, remaining self-motivated; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; the ability to manage workload and prioritise work requests; and a full UK driving license is essential for field roles. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: servicing of our monitoring stations; site installations and decommissioning; site visits to take environmental samples; assembly and testing of equipment prior to deployment; collation, and interpretation of water quality data and information; and cleaning,calibration, testing and servicing of instrumentation. The successful candidate will receive relevant training. The role will be initially based in Bramley, near Basingstoke. We will be moving to an new office in Aldermaston early spring 2025. A fleet vehicle is provided for work purposes and there will be frequent travel across the South East and further afield to access monitoring sites.
