Are you a proactive leader with a passion for safety, fitness, and customer service? Exmouth Leisure Centre is looking for a
Lifeguard Supervisor to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing a top-notch experience for all members and
visitors. Our facility includes a 25-metre swimming pool, modern gym, and an exciting climbing wall, attracting a vibrant
community of fitness enthusiasts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lifeguard Supervisor, you’ll be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer
satisfaction. Working closely with our Duty Manager, you’ll lead and support the lifeguard team, providing guidance and oversight
to ensure seamless daily operations. This role is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to step into a leadership position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Team Leadership: Assist in recruitment, training, and rota management for the lifeguard team, while acting as a vital line of
communication between lifeguards and management.
* Daily Supervision: Oversee lifeguard rotations and supervise the pool, gym, and climbing wall areas according to strict safety
protocols.
* Customer Interaction: Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and support, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for
all members.
* Facility Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections, water testing, and assist with light maintenance to uphold facility standards.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Lead by example in first aid, emergency response, and Skillgate training compliance.
* Management Support: Step into a supervisory role during Duty Manager absences and assist with team meetings, updates, and
casual staff check-ins.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or commitment to obtaining it upon starting)
* First Aid Certification: Up-to-date first aid training, including CPR proficiency
* Strong Communication Skills: Experience in customer service and team leadership roles
* Organisational Abilities: Demonstrated skill in scheduling, record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols
* 2+ Years in the Leisure Industry: Familiarity with the daily operational needs of a leisure or fitness facility
* IT Competency: Basic computer skills for compliance and scheduling tasks
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Supervisory Experience: Previous leadership experience in a leisure, fitness, or service role
* Pool Plant Operator Qualification: Understanding of pool maintenance and water testing (preferred but not essential)
