They are delivering solutions which allow LGPS Partner Funds to invest assets on behalf of their beneficiaries, and to provide improved and more efficient investment outcomes. As at March 2024, London CIV is responsible for managing c.£32bn of pooled assets across the 32 London Boroughs. Due to their continuous growth, they are now looking for a resourceful and attentive Finance Operations Accountant to join their growing team based in London. Finance Operations Accountant, the role: Maintaining ledger records (inc. sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts and fixed asset register) Assisting on expenses variance analysis, investigate into differences between actual and budgeted numbers Supporting the operation and maintenance of fee and expense contracts Processing payment runs and maintaining accurate supplier details Preparing prepayments, accruals and VAT returns for review Collaborating with the Finance Manager to deliver the year end audit Contributing to maintenance of finance policies and procedures Managing effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Participating in ad hoc projects as and if required Finance Operations Accountant, the person: Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) would be beneficial Experienced in bookkeeping including sales and purchase ledger processes Understanding of trial balance and preparation of statutory and management accounts Capable of managing multiple priorities and working to reporting deadlines Commercial, pragmatic, self-starter, high work ethic, goal orientated Ability to identify areas for improvement Strong spreadsheet skills (able to use pivotable, SUMIFs, lookups etc) and accounting software knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills Collaborative and willingness to work as part of a small team Experience of working in financial services desirable Finance Operations Accountant,the benefits: 26 days of Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays ( 3 days between Christmas and New Year) Hybrid model of working Group Life Insurance x3 your salary 15% DC pension (10% employer contribution) Private Medical Insurance Enhanced family friendly policies Nursery Workplace Scheme Continues Professional Development and Study Sponsorship Up to 3 days paid leave for volunteering Company Social Events Shopping Discount (Buzz Card) EAP and cycle to work scheme Modern offices with access to onsite gym Pure Human Resources Limited works in partnership with London CIV in providing Recruitment support.
