Embark on an exciting career with a leading global space company as a Product Assurance Engineer. You will play a crucial role in managing product and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge satellite communication products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enforce project-specific Product Assurance Plans, ensuring consistent compliance across the supply chain.
2. Oversee quality assurance for parts, materials, and processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
3. Participate in and contribute to design reviews and customer/supplier evaluations.
4. Manage and support processes related to non-conformances, critical items, and change control.
5. Conduct thorough reviews of processes, drawings, procedures, test data, and inspection records to ensure they meet specifications.
6. Execute quality assurance tasks during Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) phases, both in-house and at vendor facilities.
7. Drive Quality Management System activities, including internal audits, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and process/quality metric analysis.
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer and supplier-related quality assurance activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical field.
2. Proven experience in Product or Quality Assurance within a regulated spaceflight manufacturing environment.
3. Hands-on experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery of spaceflight hardware.
4. Strong technical writing skills, with experience producing comprehensive technical documents.
5. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and their implementation in an industrial setting.
6. Proficiency in quality tools, methods, and procedures.
7. Knowledge and/or experience with RAMS, Radiation, EEE Parts, Materials, and Processes.
8. Preferred expertise in:
o Satellite/subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT).
o Ground support equipment and electronic units (digital communications hardware, PCB, integrated circuits).
o Manufacturing processes such as soldering, coatings, and bonding.
o Satellite payloads.
