We are excited to announce an opportunity within Waterman Building Services Bristol for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will take on a pivotal role in designing Electrical services for a variety of industry sectors while having the opportunity to represent our company in client-facing engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of electrical design services across multiple projects, ensuring seamless delivery within scope, time, and budget.
* Lead client interactions, clearly communicating project progress, technical concepts, and solutions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, guiding project delivery and ensuring design integrity.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.
* Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, building lasting relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Degree qualified (or in progress) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with significant design experience within the building services sector.
* Proficiency in design software such as REVIT, with exposure to MagiCAD being a plus.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable for both external clients and internal teams.
* Experience in managing full project delivery and client relationships.
* Pursuing or holding Chartered Status is highly desirable.
* Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively, to deliver project goals.
* Leadership experience in managing people and teams is a plus.
* Willingness to travel and work across offices as needed.
* Security clearance required.
Tools & Software: We use a 3D design environment for all our projects and are rolling out the StabiCAD design tool across all offices. While familiarity with this tool is not essential (training will be provided), a strong understanding of working in 3D environments, along with knowledge of cable sizing and lighting design software, is required.
