Location: Christchurch
Type: Contract Basis - Full-Time - £19.55p Umbrella

Our client is a leading Aerospace Precision Engineering company committed to delivering exceptional quality and innovative solutions in the aerospace sector. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Fitter to join their flexible team.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and testing electrical systems and components within our aerospace products. You will ensure the highest standards of quality and precision are met, contributing to our reputation for excellence in aerospace engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to accurately assemble and wire electrical systems.
2. Demonstrate an eye for detail and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team.
3. Utilize your experience in Harness manufacturing, selecting the correct gauge cable and using the Raychem ident system. Ability to measure, cut, and prepare cables in both metric and imperial measurements is essential, with a minimum of 2 years' experience required.
4. Proficient in stripping cables, using crimp tools (both hydraulic and hand), and assembling connectors. Experience in soldering sleeves/splices and using heat guns, including infra-red heat guns, is necessary.
5. Embody a "Right First Time" culture, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standard with minimal errors.
6. Exhibit the ability to solder to a high standard and act as a standalone operator on any given project, demonstrating independence and initiative.
7. Responsible for the installation of completed electrical items into units, including the use of hand tools to install all fixed provisions in preparation for harnesses and making of remaining connectors in situ, complying with all specifications within the drawings.
8. Comfortable working within confined areas and able to control paperwork/documents as required within company procedures.
9. Provide your own basic tools; specialized tooling will be provided by the company.
Requirements:
10. Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter, specifically within the aerospace sector or a related field.
11. Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, with the ability to read and interpret complex technical documents.
12. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
13. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
14. Minimum of 2 years' experience in harness manufacturing and electrical assembly.
15. Ability to provide personal tools for the job; specialized tools will be supplied by the company.
