Job Purpose
To provide administrative and operational support to the accreditation operations team (people, systems, processes) for The Open & AIG Women’s Open, and any other R&A championships as required. Work with internal and external stakeholders and as a member of the accreditation team to provide a first-class experience to staff, contractors, volunteers, Host Club and guests by ensuring appropriate access into and within championship sites.
Key Accountabilities
1. Follow accreditation workflows and processes (including application, approval, production and distribution) for the relevant stakeholder group/s, as assigned by the Manager, collecting and inputting accurate data to the accreditation portal and producing/distributing the required accreditation within the agreed timescales, providing a frictionless experience for the accredited attendees and ensuring appropriate access is in place. Escalate issues to the Coordinator/Manager when required.
2. Act as the first point of contact for on-site enquiries at the accreditation office from internal and external stakeholders, using own expertise to resolve issues or escalating where required, providing excellent customer service to ensure swift resolution.
3. Provide administrative and operational support, when required, to ensure the smooth running of the on-site accreditation office, processing, printing and fulfilling accreditation and guest tickets for relevant stakeholders, as directed.
4. Work closely with the department’s other Ticketing & Accreditation staff to facilitate collaboration and communication and support the end-to-end ticketing and accreditation process.
5. Proactively seek improvements, efficiencies, and innovations in the accreditation operations, to benefit both accredited personnel and internal processes, providing recommendations to the Manager for their consideration.
Expertise
1. Scottish National 5 qualifications in English and Maths, or equivalent.
2. Ability to learn and use technological systems.
3. Experience using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
