Our client, based in Gourock, is on the hunt for a Permanent Ro-Ro Engineer who will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of their fleet. If you’re looking for a supportive work environment and the chance to make a real impact, keep reading THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT HNC, or equivalence, qualification in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic) Original Equipment Manufacturer training and certification in maintenance & repair of vessel based Ro-Ro, or Cargo Handling equipment 5 years experience in the maintenance & repair of either vessel installed Ro-Ro, or heavy marine cargo handling equipment 3 years experience within a small engineering team providing field support to many customer locations, over a large geographical area Working knowledge and experience of: marine industry engineering standards and best practice; Classification Society Rules covering vessel installed equipment; and Flag State and International safety and operational regulations, codes and guideline Highly Desirable: Extensive industry experience of working for, or with, Ro-Ro original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) on design, maintenance and repair of marine Ro-Ro equipment. (Highly Desirable) JOB DESCRIPTION Carrying out works onboard company vessels, in workshop & ship repair yards Ensure own compliance with company safety and environment policies & procedures Ensure works are carried out in-line with Class & statutory requirements Ensuring all works and services are provided in accordance with the Fleet Management Manual and company’s wider policies and procedures Ensure Ro-Ro engineering work is conducted safely, efficiently and “right first time” Ensure Ro-Ro work requests are routed via the Works Management processes REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER Salary: £64,605 per annum.
