At Change Grow Live, we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of structured and peer-led group work programmes including Foundations of Recovery and SMART Recovery.
Responsibilities
As a Group Work Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the facilitator in the planning and preparation of groups. This will include promoting groups to service users, reminding them of upcoming sessions, and engaging with those who do not attend. You will be provided with training and supported to eventually take the lead in delivering some of the groups and provide one-to-one support to clients within the group setting. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in the review and development of session materials including content, handouts, and delivery.
Minimum Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
