As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the catchment delivery of projects for United Utilities. By using your leadership skills and embracing and promoting innovation, especially with new technologies and/or environmental solutions, you will oversee engineering teams from different disciplines to deliver solutions on projects addressing water, nutrient and chemical spill impact on the environment. You will also advise on investment required for inland bathing waters to be designated and provide advice in replumbing planning of some of the UK’s most iconic cities.
Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams, you will effectively plan and manage the engineering work within projects, ensuring quality, schedule and cost objectives are met. You will also lead process improvement initiatives and help us shape and define our future vision. You'll be at the forefront of our most groundbreaking initiatives, with full access to our organization and cutting-edge work. Utilize your expertise to tackle unique engineering challenges within our industry and collaborate with other specialists to shape vital elements of Research and Development (R&D), Planning and Network Engineering activities within our Studies Programme. Your contributions will be pivotal to our success and will support us in fulfilling our objectives. Stakeholder engagement is vital for this role. You will therefore need to build strong working relationships, manage key internal and external stakeholders effectively and provide expert advice to our contractors and the wider enterprise, especially Ofwat, Environment Agency and various Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
