Job Description
We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our client within their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Coventry with flexible hybrid working arrangements. My client operates as an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO). Regulated by OFGEM and adhering to industry standards, they have aims to secure a significant market share and establish themselves as leaders within the competitive connections market.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, newly formed team where you’ll play a pivotal role in the setup and operation of the business. Joining the project team, you’ll help develop and expand the organization while driving its growth ambitions. In this role, you will build and lead the Business Operations team, ensuring efficient and effective management of operational and administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the IDNO leadership team.
Oversee the business’s administrative, back-office, and operational support functions.
Manage the adoption journey from initial enquiry to energization.
Support the IDNO team in meeting business objectives and growth targets.
Fulfill the IDNO’s MPAS obligations and execute DUOS (Distribution Use of System) billing.
Handle and coordinate B2B and customer inquiries.
Maintain accurate asset records for the IDNO.
Act as the primary contact for external IDNO inquiries.
Manage and coordinate work programs for the Operations Team.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience in business operations management, ideally in the energy sector.
Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record in stakeholder management.
In-depth understanding of sales, operations, technical, and regulatory functions.
Ability to oversee and manage complex projects and processes.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Keen attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.
Familiarity with IDNO regulations and standards.
Expertise in MPAN management and DUOS billing.
Proficiency in business operations management software.
Experience in budget management.
