International Partnerships and Engagement Manager\n\nLondon\n\n£37,734 – £50,391 (salary will be based on skills)\n\nWorking arrangements: Full time (35 hours p/w). Standard working hours between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are seeking an ambitious international partnerships and engagement Manager to develop and implement our global strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a prestigious medical federation that supports physicians worldwide.\n\nManage our international development and stakeholder engagement programme at the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK, based at the RCP in London.\n\nAs the international partnerships and engagement manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Federation’s international strategy. This will include building effective relationships with existing and potential examination centres/hosts, and the identification of opportunities to further expand our international presence of our MRCP(UK) PACES, Specialty Certificate Examinations, and potential conjoint examination arrangements, as well as support for education and training, development of curricula and assessment packages for national governments.
Reporting to the head of communications, CPD and international engagement, you will provide close support and advice to the two medical directors for international training and assessment and be responsible for line managing the international partnerships coordinator.\n\nThe Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, based in the UK and with international reach, is a collaboration between the:\n\n * Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh\n\n * Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow\n\n * Royal College of Physicians of London\n\nCollectively, the three colleges represent more than 60,000 physicians worldwide. For physicians in the UK and globally, the colleges provide an invaluable professional network, opportunities to share best practice and ongoing educational opportunities.\n\nThe Federation develops and delivers services to support doctors at every stage of their careers, including:\n\n * Continuing professional development for senior physicians (CPD)\n\n * Examinations (including the MRCP(UK) diploma)\n\n * Training (through the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board – JRCPTB).\n\nKey responsibilities of the role:\n\n * Expanding our global presence Develop international partnerships and increase uptake of our examinations and training programmes.\n\n * Building strong relationships: Work closely with existing and potential examination centres, training providers, and national governments.\n\n * Developing market intelligence: Identify new opportunities for international expansion, competitor insights, and emerging trends.\n\n * Driving growth & impact: Assess feasibility, develop new business proposals, and support the delivery of training, curricula, and CPD services.\n\n * Ensuring operational excellence: Work with our teams to secure agreements and accreditation for international training programmes.\n\n * Acting as a non-clinical evaluator: Conduct site visits to inspect international training programmes and provide recommendations for accreditation.\n\nWhat you bring:\n\n * A strategic mindset: Experience in business development, international partnerships, or stakeholder engagement.\n\n * A strong relationship builder: Proven success in managing stakeholder relationships across different cultures.\n\n * Market insight & commercial awareness: Knowledge of the global education and medical training landscape.\n\n * Management skills: Experience managing a team and leading projects with confidence.\n\n * Flexibility & international outlook: Willingness to travel internationally when required.\n\n * Excellent communication & negotiation skills: Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive strategic growth.\n\nOur benefits\n\nWorking at the RCP comes with lots of benefits designed to ensure that you feel valued and supported in your role.
