We are looking for our next Associate Civil Engineer to join us at Align Property Services to lead a dedicated team of engineers to deliver a diverse range of projects based in Cumbria.
You will join our team working to deliver on Schools and Corporate Maintenance programmes across the local authorities in Cumbria, ensuring the buildings where our children are educated and where local people work are safe, modern, and efficient. You will have the opportunity to support Cumbrian capital works programmes, developing and modernising communities across the county.

As an Associate Civil Engineer:
Your excellent leadership and communication skills will allow you to build and motivate a team of engineers, promoting development of knowledge and skills through technology and industry advancements. You will build strong working relationship with clients, regularly engaging with them to understand their requirements and to manage their expectations on the delivery of their projects.
This role will offer you the autonomy to establish and maintain best practice in the delivery of engineering projects, and through your own professional development, your innovative ideas will contribute to the success of our multidisciplinary team. Leading by example, you will promote a high standard of ethics and professionalism in your work, with health and safety and reliability being at the forefront of your designs and decisions.
To be successful in this position, you will:
· Hold a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
· Demonstrate strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
· Have experience in preparing detailed designs and specifications using Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Micro-Drainage/Flow etc.
· Be competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage.
· Have a working knowledge of latest UK standards, adoptable standards and building regulations.
· Be IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products for report writing/presentations/administration of tasks.
· Hold a Professional Accreditation at IEng / CEng level.
· Full UK driving license.
