Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Permanent - Newcastle
As part of a team based in Newcastle, UK, you will be joining an established business with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. As a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical, you will support the production of pipeline products.
You will become an expert in monitoring the maintenance and stability of cutting-edge equipment. You'll be part of a collaborative team providing full life-cycle maintenance and enhancements to increase up-time and availability.
Responsibilities:
1. Delivering the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans.
2. Completing the Planned Maintenance inspections as defined by the site maintenance plans.
3. Planning and delivering corrective and reactive work, ensuring that tools, parts, and materials are available, and minimizing production downtime.
4. Ensuring that all plant and equipment on sites are modified and improved, as necessary, to maximize equipment availability and performance.
5. Completing dynamic risk assessments where necessary to ensure safe working practices are upheld and risks reduced.
6. Undertaking repairs of manufacturing equipment and assisting the site team in making the best decisions.
7. Taking ownership of engineering project work and assisting with new installations or refurbishments.
8. Contributing to problem-solving workshops, providing expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement actions.
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have successfully completed your apprenticeship in mechatronics, industrial mechanics, or a comparable field.
2. Have a good command of written and spoken English.
3. Have a conscientious, careful, and independent way of working to fulfill your tasks in a targeted manner.
4. Exhibit a high level of teamwork and reliability, and be accustomed to working in an international environment.
