Company description: This position is remote within the UK, with a preference for candidates based in the South East area. Under training and supervision for the first months, as an Auditor/Inspector you will be homebased and independently execute the timely completion of assigned work by conducting audits on (electronic) products, devices, processes, systems and materials onsite at various factories across the South East that have obtained a UL certificate. You will be pivotal ensuring that all clients are using the UL Brand in compliance with the applicable technical requirements. Job description: Responsibilities Independently conduct safety and non-safety certification audits and field evaluations in accordance to the required performance standards and requirements Witness testing, including interpretation and analysis of the test results against UL requirements Conduct quality audits at client sites Verify the accuracy of manufacturers measuring equipment and reviewing production records Examine documentation by using appropriate UL forms Cooperate with other departments within the UL organization for the successful completion of complex projects Required profile: Qualifications Bachelors' degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline (such as Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Physics but not limited to these disciplines only) and generally no directly related experience or less than 1 year experience may be acceptable. Fluency in English is required. Technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Candidates who are already living in the UK. Native English language skills. 5 years of experience in the electromechanical industry. Knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9000. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional trips to Scandinavia.
