We are seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team, working on the school’s upper site with children aged 11. Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging whole-class cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher or during PPA time Collaborate with the teacher to personalise the curriculum and help students reach their full potential Carry out general teaching assistant duties where lesson cover is not required Assist with planning and preparation for upcoming lessons Uphold the school’s policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safeguarding Create and maintain a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment Inspire students and foster a love for learning, tailored to their individual needs About you: The ideal candidate will bring: A solid understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and effective strategies to support a diverse range of abilities Excellent communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people A level 3 or 4 certificate in Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 4 diploma in Childcare and Education, or equivalent qualifications in childcare or nursery work.
