We are currently looking for someone who is interested in starting or maturing a career in the facilities maintenance industry. The applicable candidate will have the opportunities to join the team and train alongside our current engineers to gain a wealth of experience. The individual chosen for the role will be reporting on a daily basis to management, all works that are to be undertaken on that day including any PPM work. They will be working in partnership with all departments to deliver planned preventative maintenance, reacting to all repair work on the centre’s fabric and assisting with promotional campaigns and general property maintenance, ensuring we exceed customers’ expectations and consistently live our core values.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reporting on a daily basis to the Savills Operations Manager all work that are to be undertaken on that day.
2. Carry out general fabric maintenance including decorating, carpentry, paving, minor plumbing and general small building works, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policy.
3. Carry out reactive works to include but not limited to fabric works and plumbing.
4. Participate and ensure the centre is a safe and non-threatening environment for all customers.
5. Assist all team members with general maintenance duties, undertaking any ad-hoc duties during your working hours.
6. To close/update completed PPM and reactive tasks on the company CAFM system.
7. Ensure a high standard of workmanship is maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the centre and associated systems.
8. Ensure all tools, equipment and material are available to coordinate specialist sub-contractors for both PPM and reactive works.
9. Maintain safe working practices in line with HASAW and the Dolphin Shopping Centre Health and Safety policy, ensuring all PPE is present maintaining a high standard and serves its purpose.
10. Maintain a smart appearance at all times, incorporating your working environment and adhering to dress standards and uniform policy.
11. Work additional hours and show flexibility regarding shift patterns as required, available for centre emergencies and call out repairs when required by the manager.
12. Undertake any further duties or tasks as requested by Line Manager or Management team as appropriate.
13. Work as part of the team, carry out duties willingly and strive to deliver the core values: Creative, Bold and Genuine.
14. Communicate with colleagues and management as required and provide upward feedback and suggestions for improvement.
15. Attend all training and meetings as required. Take responsibility for your own training and achieve all mandatory development to enable high competency levels within your role.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Knowledge of M&E building services is an advantage.
2. Experience in a majority of fabric skills such as but not limited to, decorating, carpentry, tiling, plastering, paving, minor plumbing, general small building works, use of tool machines.
3. Experience in a multi-disciplined environment.
4. Experience in working at height with powered access equipment desirable.
5. High level of communication skills with a confident and interpersonal disposition.
6. Training in safety management.
7. To participate in training to work towards the required skill set for the role with an option of sponsorship towards the 17th edition NICEIC qualification scheme.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Location: The Dolphin Poole (Static position)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Hours: 7am – 4pm, 40 hours per week on ratio.
