On the surface it looks (or should look) like a fairly straightforward service that saves you money and time by doing things for you that you hate doing. Behind the scenes, simple is hard. There is lots of extensive complexity in an agentic system a lot of basic things it has to take care of in order to be useful at all, let alone competent, responsible and reliable. Alongside the intrinsic complexity that comes with the nature of our novel product category, there is also the real practical complexity that stems from piloting a hyper-growth company. They have rapidly scaling numbers of users on the one side and a rapidly scaling team on the other before they even get to the other stakeholders they need to manage as they grow. To master these various streams of complexity and their interaction effects they have built out a fairly thoughtful data infrastructure. Making that work for us and getting real business value out of it however requires focus and care. This BA role is therefore right at the heart of the company. Youll be working especially closely with the founding team and the rest of the Board, as well as across the management team, so will need to be a confident and effective communicator, comfortable expressing your ideas and insights and discussing them with (and having them challenged by) intelligent and experienced entrepreneurs. Youll be working across different teams with a lot of context switching: building financial models in the morning, designing operational dashboards in the afternoon, and making some slides for an external meeting in the evening with some ad-hoc analysis on the impact alongside. The Candidate Youll have a good level of natural commerciality. Developing and maintaining insights about Our Client as it grows and deeply understanding the business as it scales is not an abstract pursuit, but an extremely practical one. You may actually have worked in a top tier business services context (consulting, banking or accounting), but if not then you certainly might have done had you opted to. Or you might have cut your teeth in a similarly demanding fast-paced start-up environment. And youll be very good at getting stuff done working with and through others to manage projects (some informal, some more structured). Wherever youre coming from, youre very clear on where you want to go, and how Our Client can help you get there. Our Client are looking for someone who: - Is exceptionally bright, with world-class analytical skills - Works effectively in a high ambiguity, high complexity environment - Happy both in a complex spreadsheet or deep in a BI tool (they use Omni Analytics). - Is pragmatic and worldly not just theoretical in their outlook - Is highly motivated by our clients' mission to make life simpler & fairer - Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Is confident and effective interacting with senior colleagues - Is practical, scrappy & intensely pragmatic - Finds challenge from smart colleagues stimulating rather than intimidating - Works well as part of a small, tight knit team - Is able to absorb new information very rapidly - Loves actually getting things done and is willing to get stuck in As roles go, and particularly given the level of exposure to the Our Client founding team, this role has the potential to be a stepping stone into start-up land for someone who is seeking one day to develop into a leadership role in a complex high-growth business, or even who one day aspires to start their own business. The Terms - Competitive base salary - Generous equity with life-changing upside - 25 days holiday (pro-rata), plus bank holidays - Health cash plan, pension, free access to our clients product for your own house - Regular volunteering opportunities, regular team socials and meals - Great office in Farringdon (very close to the station) with fantastic coffee Our Client has an office-first culture. That means they encourage in-person working, and most people do work from the office in Farringdon most of the time. They do a lot of brainstorming, problem-solving and interaction within the team and presence makes this more effective. It also helps ensure people have good peripheral awareness and high context. But they are pragmatic not doctrinal about this, and recognise that some types of work can sometimes be done remotely.
