Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Registered Nurse to lead at a Senior Level within the Birmingham and Solihull (BSOL) ICB All Age Continuing Care TeamEssential to the post is the ability to provide expert and skilled clinical advice and support to individuals and teams. Experience of managing teams, complex situations, dispute resolution processes, implementing efficiencies for continuous quality improvement, awareness of financial resources and experience in adult safeguarding investigations are key. You will play a crucial role in our mission to improve health and care services for the BSOL community. Tasked with providing clinical leadership and management of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team and for ensuring that professional nursing standards are maintained and that adult CHC nurses meet and maintain professional registration requirements, including mentoring, clinical supervision, and clinical re-validation. Main duties of the job You will work as part of a large clinical team, working independently managing your own case load working collaboratively with other key professionals. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the legislative frameworks, policies and procedures in respect of CHC framework 2022, and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the BSOL CHC, PHB and ABI teams. There are opportunities to build cross agency relationships, whilst working closely with colleagues from Social care and other NHS statutory services. The postholder will ensure that all patients within the caseload have good quality care which meets their ongoing needs through timely assessments and reviews. This will include responsibility for establishing and coordinating arrangements across a range of agencies including NHS providers, third sector providers.To be responsible for ensuring that all CHC processes implemented are compliant with legislative and national guidance. To manage contentious situations in relation to disputes between partner agencies or with individual patients and relatives. o To work in partnership with the Local Authority, Acute Trusts and Care Homes to ensure timely discharges and good quality and value for money placements for those eligible for CHC.
