Registered Childrens home manager urgently needed
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational needs of a children’s home. This role requires a passionate leader with strong communication skills, a commitment to the wellbeing of children and young people, and the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, homely, and welcoming environment for children and young people.

Be accountable for health and safety, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by staff at all times.

Develop and maintain comprehensive, person-centred care plans for each child and young person, reviewing and updating them regularly.

Actively involve and consult with children and young people in all aspects of their daily living and decision-making.

Address and resolve any issues that may negatively impact the living environment of the children and young people.

Collaborate with other managers and staff members to ensure continuity and a supportive team environment.
*
Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
*
Monitor and support the health needs of the children and young people, liaising with medical professionals as necessary.

Foster strong partnerships with external authorities, educational facilities, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.
*
Ensure staff provide engaging, person-centred support that enables children and young people to participate in enjoyable activities.
*
Uphold and promote the values of privacy, dignity, and respect as integral to all care and support practices.
Team Leadership:

Provide line management to the team in accordance with OFSTED requirements.

Lead, motivate, and manage a team delivering personalised support to children and young people.
*
Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings, encouraging active participation and addressing required actions.
*
Oversee staff performance management, including supervisions, regular appraisals, and mandatory training.
*
Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new staff members.
*
Ensure robust communication systems are in place to facilitate effective collaboration among the team.
