Project Management: Oversee and manage the electrical construction phase of hyperscale data centres, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Site Coordination: Lead on-site electrical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project milestones.
Technical Oversight: Ensure compliance with electrical design specifications, Tier III & Tier IV data centre standards, and client requirements.
Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to HSE regulations, risk assessments, and safety protocols on site.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including HV, LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, or inefficiencies in the electrical construction process.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key interface between clients, consultants, MEP teams, general contractors, and subcontractors.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed progress reports, site documentation, and project records to ensure transparency and compliance.
Innovation & Efficiency: Implement prefabrication, modular construction, and cutting-edge electrical solutions where applicable.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 8+ years in electrical construction management, with experience in hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale MEP projects.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, including UPS, generators, transformers, power distribution units (PDU), and critical backup power solutions.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with electrical design standards, BIM coordination, and commissioning processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of European construction standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NFPA, BS7671).
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate large teams of electricians, subcontractors, and site engineers.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues, delays, and construction challenges.
Communication: Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical details effectively.
Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant electrical certifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, NEBOSH, SMSTS, or equivalent) are desirable.
