James Lewis is currently assisting a key client in their search for an Electrical Site Manager to join an M&E Contractor in the city who have been well established for over 22 years.
As a privately owned M&E Building Services contractor, they provide services across Design & Build, full M&E services, HVAC, IT infrastructures, CCTV, security, access control, and fire alarms. The company has been founded upon sound practices, quality installations, and working closely with their clients on a range of projects which include commercial, education, custodial, residential, healthcare, and leisure ranging in value up to 20m.
The project has an M&E value of 3.5m and consists of the refurb of a highly prestigious private members club in Mayfair. You will be joining a Mechanical PM who is already on the project which is a couple of months in and has a build program of roughly 40 weeks. Due to the high-end nature of this project, our client will need to see a previous track record of experience on either luxury fit-out or super-prime projects with similarly high-end finishes.
Electrical Site Manager duties include:
* Manage and oversee the on-site construction team, including Electrical and external Contractors
* Ensure Sub-contractors work to the programme
* Report on all Health and Safety issues and demonstrate H&S Leadership and on-site monitoring of all team members and Contractors
* QA inspections of installations
* Implement and monitor the project to ensure it is engineered to the highest standard
* Take ownership of Mechanical issues and liaise with the Client and Design consultants to obtain closure and clarifications where necessary
* Ensure clear reporting lines into the Project Director
* Review of ongoing works and highlight potential defects or risks
* Complete accurate materials take off in line with the project procurement process
* Compile project RAMS and ensure they are updated as the project progresses
* Ensure installations are in accordance with drawing specifications
This is a freelance position with about 30 weeks left to run, but due to ongoing work-winning on a range of other projects, there is an opportunity with possible longer-term prospects.
