Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
3. Assist in the management of food inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
4. Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
5. Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
6. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations.
7. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene practices.
8. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Experience
1. Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
3. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management within a restaurant setting.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
5. A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences.
6. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
