We’re recruiting for a passionate Teacher to work at a busy special educational needs school in Rugeley. The position will be starting April 2025 and will continue until the end of the academic year.
This school caters for children and young adults from the age of 5-18 with Autism (ASC) and associated learning needs. To be successful in this role you must have experience working with individuals with SEND.
As a SEN Teacher you will be required to plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of students with special educational needs and disabilities. You must be able to utilise a range of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies to engage and support students in their learning. It is important you adapt and differentiate instruction to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, providing additional support or challenges as needed.
To be successful you must:
* Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (any subject specialism)
* Proven experience as a SEND Teacher, preferably in a similar temporary capacity, with a strong understanding of different special educational needs and disabilities.
* Familiarity with a range of teaching resources, assistive technologies, and interventions for supporting students with SEND.
* Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support students' social and emotional development.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse range of students and their unique needs.
