The Purpose:
The MU Foundation operates the Clubs Regional Talent Club (RTC) which has the vision of creating the most successful talent development programme within girl’s football by revolutionising the way the game is learnt and played. This role sits in the medical team and assists in delivering physiotherapy services to players.
The Role:
* Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, fairly, effectively, and efficiently while safeguarding the welfare of children and adults at risk.
* Provide assessment, treatment, and functional rehabilitation for injured players, including clinical decision-making on fitness to train or play and player education on injury prevention.
* Communicate injury status and rehabilitation progress with coaching staff and parents, while maintaining secure notes and records in line with CSP Rules of Professional Conduct.
* Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as Manchester United Women and The FA, and attend relevant meetings, seminars, and events to support current and future activities.
* Commit to personal development as required by the club and ensure adherence to its code of conduct in all activities, delivery, and appearance.
* Be available for training sessions and matches, home and away, as needed. Collect data and evidence of good practice to meet funding conditions.
* Uphold and promote the Foundation’s Safeguarding policy in collaboration with Manchester United FC’s Safeguarding team and partners. Complete Emergency Action Plans to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
* 40 hours per week.
The Person:

* Hardworking, enthusiastic, and dependable.
* Strong communication skills: approachable, empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and confident.
* Knowledgeable in safeguarding legislation and best practices.
* Experience supporting young people in physiotherapy settings.
* Skilled in managing and aiding recovery from sports-related injuries.
* Understanding of child development principles.
* Knowledge of child protection practices and policies.
* Familiarity with youth musculoskeletal development.
* Strong organisational and communication abilities (written, verbal, and listening).
* Skilled at building trust with children and parents.
* Empathetic, energetic, and team oriented.
* Effective in engaging with children, young people, and adults.
* Current Physiotherapy Degree (essential).
* Desirable qualifications: FA Learning Safeguarding Children certificate, FA Intermediate First Aid for Sport Certificate, other relevant qualifications or training, full UK driving license, and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
