An opportunity has arisen within the Involvement, Recovery & Wellness Centre to carry out a job share with the current Team Manager, for one day per week (7.5 hours), working Cheshire Wide (i.e. East and West). This role will help oversee the day-to-day activities of the service and where appropriate liaise with and lead on other projects to ensure effective, safe practices take place.
The role requires a leadership qualification, and experience of managing a team with lived experience of ill health, volunteers, and clinicians. Therefore, you must feel able to champion the service and its members personal and professional growth and health and wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive and strategic approach.
You will actively engage in risk management policies, procedures, and practice and to advise the relevant personal of resource shortfalls and recommend improved methods of working where appropriate.
You will need a flexible and caring approach and fully understand and able to demonstrate recovery and self-management practices.
Main duties of the job
* To operationally manage the care and treatment pathways within the service, including recruitment, appraisal, personal and professional development and supervision.
* To be responsible for the delivery of a seamless, integrated service for patients living in West Cheshire.
* To be responsible for service development and the continued development of an integrated approach to care with primary and secondary care, social services and the voluntary sector.
* To be accountable for service quality and working collaboratively with other agencies.
* To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality evidenced based Community Care for Service Users and Carers under the care of the service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Professional (RMN, Professional Social Work, Occupational therapy or other relevant health qualification as recognised by the HCPC or NMC).
* Current NMC or HCPC registration.
* Educated at Masters Level or equivalent.
* Evidence of CPD.
* 4 years post qualifying experience in health and / or social care.
Knowledge and Expertise
* An awareness of The Long Term Plan and clinical governance priorities.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act and other appropriate legislation.
* Clear understanding of the importance of information and advice and alternative ways to support identified outcome - e.g. assisted technologies, health interventions.
* Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding and the impact that it has on service users and families.
* Sound understanding of the integration agenda.
* Sound understanding and awareness of government agendas, policies and key briefing as applied to adults and carers and the ability to translate this into service requirements.
* Ability to evaluate practice against professional standards as set by HCPC/NMC.
* Working knowledge of information systems and an ability to use IT.
* Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of personal responsibilities in the area of risk management and health, safety and welfare both in terms of self and others.
* Knowledge, experience and understanding of the process involved in financial and budgetary control and planning.
* A good understanding of administrative functions.
* An understanding of Health and Safety principles.
Experience
* 2 years relevant experience of a senior supervisor role in a front line health or social care setting.
* Evidence of developing and maintaining good working practices with a wide range of customers and other stakeholders.
* Experience of representing services at multi-agency forums, making informed, sound decisions.
* Experience of achieving service improvement through a quality assurance process.
* Experience of working effectively in a high pressure environment.
* Experience of working with Adult service users and Carers.
* Experience of managing complex cases and undertaking risk assessments.
* Experience of managing complex staff issues.
* Experience of proactive problem solving.
* Experience of safeguarding and chairing safeguarding meetings.
* Understanding of work in relation to Mental Capacity and best interest decision making.
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary interagency framework.
