About the Role As our Local Authority Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering great relationships with local authorities and championing for these authorities, to facilitate the rollout of our fibre network. This position is key to our growth and requires exceptional communication skills to secure permissions and collaborations necessary for network development alongside all relevant authorities. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder engagement: Engage local authorities, executives, residents and other stakeholders to plan and deliver FTTP projects. Engagement with the Local Authorities will include but is not limited to; Streetworks, Highways, Planning, MP's and Councillors. Management of regulatory submissions to local authorities ahead of commencement of project will be required identifying key personnel within the local authority whom the business must engage with and build a relationship with them. Customer experience: Oversee the engagement process to ensure brsk is compliant and successful with meaningful consultation throughout the journey. External risk management: Respond to external risks related to local authorities. Stakeholder mapping: Ensure that the correct engagement with other stakeholders is executed correctly and in line with the programme of works. Internal stakeholder awareness: Engage with internal stakeholders to share knowledge gained from external stakeholders helping with continuous improvement. About you We are looking for someone who has proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the telecommunications or a related industry. It is essential you have experience in working directly with local authorities or government entities. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and work closely with stakeholders at various levels to get the best results for all involved Further to this, you will have a proven track record of securing agreements beneficial for both the company and local communities. You will also have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will have a strong understanding of; Electronic Communications Code Regulations (2003) and Safety at Street Works and Road Works: A Code of Practice A good understanding of network infrastructure deployment is advantageous.
