Join us and be a part of the team that is making Croydon proud. choosecroydon Job overview Cardiac Rehab Exercise Assistant Band 3 (15 hours per week) Mon, Wed, Thurs The post holder will be part of the cardiac rehab team delivering care to patients following a cardiac event according to national guidance. The role will include contributing to the assessment of patients for the exercise classes and assisting with the delivery of the exercise programme in the hospital and community settings. They will also be required to carry out a range of non-clinical duties, including data entry. Main duties of the job To assist the healthcare professionals in the initial assessment of patients for Cardiac Rehabilitation. This will include assisting with functional capacity tests and taking measurements such as BP, BMI, HR and to collect other information as necessary. To conduct warm up and cool down components of the class and to participate in the induction of patients to cardiac rehabilitation classes. To contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the cardiac rehab exercise sessions. This includes safe individualised technique, exercise intensity and monitoring of outcome measures during the class. CUH provides more than 100 specialist services and is home to the borough's only Emergency Department and 24/7 maternity services, including a labour ward, midwifery-led birth centre and the Crocus home birthing team. Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care, including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.
